- Institutions - Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Columbia. Both shown at the start and given a couple of seconds each. The non-diegetic sound from the trailer is carried over into the the idents. Both big companies and therefore you know that this is going to be a big-budget film. MGM also very recognisable and is identified with the Bond franchise and therefore you know what you are going to get straight away
- USP - Bond film, next one in a long franchise going on over 50 years which is instantly recognisable, also has a big star filled cast for many people are excited to see the film for. It is also a continuation of the story following on from Skyfall/Casino Royale and seems to be following the darker tone set in those movies
- Genre/mood - Dark, creepy tone, creates the sense that all hope is lost and there is nothing you can do. Sense that Bond is also lost and doesn't fully understand. The non-diegetic sound, buzzing, creates suspense which excites many viewers. Teaser trailer so doesn't reveal many plot details and most of the shots are hinting at the larger picture. It's genre is following on from the previous films and is therefore going to be a spy action thriller which takes you all over the world.
- Target Audience - Trying to target everyone in order to create as big a profit as possible
- It being a teaser trailer is also important as every thing is trying to confuse you and direct you to plot without saying it. It's a very cleaver trailer in this regard as it utilises several different genre tropes and intelligent dialogue which attracts viewers even if they haven't seen Bond before
- Classic Bond motif is also played at the end along with the gun shot in order to attract the hard core fans of the franchise
